  • Requests submitted April 13-May 11 (open registration/end of semester) will be considered the week of May 18th.
  • Requests submitted May 12 and later will be considered the week before classes begin (week of August 17).
This form will stop accepting responses on August 14th. All requests will be processed by August 21st, but please do not wait idly for a seat to open.

You are strongly advised to keep an eye on Howdy for seats to open and to not wait for a potential force.

Notes:
  • Only requests from English majors or English Department minors will be processed.
  • If you feel you have a special circumstance, please explain using the additional information section at the end.
  • There are no exceptions to classification restrictions. If you are a junior or senior (U3/U4) you will not be permitted to join a course with a freshman and sophomore (U1/U2) restriction.
ENGL 104:
If you are a junior or senior needing an ENGL 104, there are two sections offered during the Fall 2026 semester that will be open to you. Those sections are: ENGL 104-522 (CRN: 11195) and ENGL 104-523 (CRN: 65162).
  • Seats are limited in these sections and are not guaranteed.
  • Restrictions NOT be overridden for any other section.
  • If you are unable to register, please make a plan to take the course elsewhere and transfer it in.
Most sections of ENGL 104 offered over the summer are open to Juniors and Seniors as well.
