Abolition Microseminar (UW and Community collaboration)
This form is for folks who would like to join the the abolition microseminar in February. We have limited spots for both enrolled students and non-enrolled community folks. Thank you!
The microseminar requires students to attend all the sessions. The sessions are currently scheduled on February 6; February 20; February 25; and February 26 from 4:00 - 5:30 PST. Are you able to attend the sessions? Do you have any scheduling considerations or concerns?
We hope that the seminar will be a place for organizing working to end prisons / detention centers to reflect on their experiences and build up community capacity. What does abolition mean to you? What experiences do you have in abolitionist organizing?
We want the seminar to be a place that centers folks who are directly impacted by prisons/detention with attention to how this impacts communities across race/ethnicity, immigration status, gender, and age. Please tell us about yourself.
Do you have a relationship to the University of Washington? (student, alum, other)
Do you want to take the seminar for credit through UW? (The microseminar is worth 2 credits)
Do you have access needs you would like to share? (We will offer another opportunity to share for folks participating in the microseminar.)
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
