Can't Stop Change Screening RSVP
The Smile Trust and Queers 4 Climate Justice (Q4CJ) are organizing an end of Pride month screening of Q4CJ’s documentary Can’t Stop Change: Queer Climate Stories from the Florida Frontlines.

Tuesday, June 30th, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the MURPH
561 Whitehall St SW

We will have an opportunity for people to eat, mix & mingle, followed by the film screening and Q&A with the film’s co-directors & community org representatives.

Venue Information: The MURPH is located at 561 W Whitehall St SW. It's a fully ADA accessible venue with gender neutral restrooms. Limited parking is available at the MURPH, with additional parking at the Foot Locker parking lot very close by. **Please Do NOT park at Athlete's Foot**. 

Schedule: 
  • 6 p.m.: Doors open and event begins! We'll have community organizations tabling with resources about LGBTQ+ rights and climate resilience. We'll also participate in a bingo activity and get to know each other through conversations about our climate resilience skills. Food will be served.
  • 6:30 - 6:45 p.m.: Intro, welcome, and screening of Can't Stop Change begins
  • 8:30 - Conversation & Q&A with one of the film's Co-Directors and local community organizers
  • 9:00 p.m. - Event ends
Food: Everyday Supper Club is catering and has put together an Asian-inspired menu that accommodates a wide range of dietary needs. We'll also have lemonade, sweet tea, and water. 

Resource Distro: We'll be distributing basic cooling kits: water-resistant pouches containing cooling towels, ice packs, sunscreen packets, electrolytes, and heat-related first aid information. We'll also have printed emergency preparedness materials for free, as well as some specialty zines for sliding scale donation.

Donations: This is a free event! However, if you feel moved and would like to donate to help cover event costs and support the work of Queers 4 Climate Justice, you can do so through our Open Collective page or through Venmo (@dearyarrow), Cashapp ($dearyarrow), or PayPal (paypal.me/dearyarrow). We'll have opportunities to donate at the event as well.
