Fraternity and Sorority 101: New Member Orientation
Dear New Member,
Welcome to Greek Life!
We are so excited that you have decided to join a fraternity or sorority while pursuing your education at the University of Connecticut. Fraternities and sororities are values-driven organizations. Whether you knew your organization's values on day one, or if they will only become clear through your Ritual of Initiation, you now assume the rights and responsibilities that come with membership.
As a new member, your are asked to review the information provided and submit the form within five (5) days of the start of your new/associate member period. This will be kept on record with the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Development. This course is to introduce new members of the community to our expectations, policies and opportunities.
After you complete this you will be able to:
1. Understand the expectations of fraternity and sorority membership at UConn
2. Learn about Fraternity and Sorority Life
3. Learn about the greater fraternity and sorority community
At the end of this course, you will be asked to complete a short quiz.
