WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:Supporting someone with a chronic illness, including mental health challenges and special needs such as autism, induces accumulative stress. Caregivers’ burnout is a sad reality. Caregivers often felt isolated, trapped and unappreciated.
Caregivers’ self-care is about assessing and managing stress, setting priorities and realistic expectation, having healthy boundaries, learning to say YES and NO, building creative respite care and building resources and connecting with support.
