The Illini Art & Business Collective (IABC) bridges creativity and entrepreneurship. We help artists think like founders — learning how to turn ideas into ventures, art into opportunity, and creativity into real-world impact. Through workshops, mentorship, and collaborations with campus innovators, IABC builds a community where artists and business minds grow together, mastering both the creative process and the entrepreneurial mindset needed to shape the future of art, business, and culture.

  • Connect artists with business minded individuals to create and market artwork

  • Help artists develop their entrepreneurial skills through promoting, pricing, and selling their works 

  • Allow artists to share their ideas and artworks with the public through hands on experience such as local fairs, interactive booths, and displays

  • Host workshops and guest speaker events with people in the art industry to provide educational opportunities for club members and the community

  • Create networking opportunities that connects artists with businesses, non-profits, and conservation groups

  • Inspire future artists to advocate for causes they care about through their artwork

  • Organize art contests that engage artists, showcase their work, and foster creative competition

For those who want to get the most out of IABC, we recommend joining a team! Each team will be given different tasks weekly/biweekly to contribute to IABC. You can choose which team you would like to be on, or decide at a later time. 

  • Marketing team

    • Create instagram posts on a weekly schedule 

    • Brainstorm and record reels

    • Take pictures and videos during club events and meetings 

  • Events team

    • Help the IABC run and develop their events

    • Reach out to organizations for potential events or partnerships

    • Reach out to potential speakers and professors 

  • Showcase team

    • Help IABC run our yearly showcases (Fall Small businesses showcase, Spring Art Contest)

    • Collaborate with various clubs, local businesses, and professors

    • Develop leadership, management, communication, and teamwork skills
