Due to our small size and structure, we are unable to accommodate children who have aggressive/impulsive behaviors that are atypical for 3-6 year olds. It is our priority to keep every child safe, and every child supported. By selecting "I agree", you know your child reliably demonstrates reasonably safe behavior towards other children and adults (no biting, hitting, pushing, scratching that is beyond what is developmentally appropriate). Please note that repeated instances of unsafe behavior is grounds for immediate expulsion. *

I understand that my child will engage in risk-taking behavior, such as climbing trees, playing in/near water, fire, hiking, whittling with knives, etc., and I understand the benefits of supporting such behavior. *
I understand that I will need to provide appropriate gear for my child to engage in nature play in all types of weather, including cold weather, snow, rain, and mud. *
I understand that DFS is not a licensed child care program (no forest schools in CO that are 100% outside can be licensed). This means that if my child has an IEP, I will need to organize for my child to receive services outside of school. *
I understand that my child will be outside when it is very hot, and when it is very cold (assuming it is safe). *
I understand that this is NOT a kindergarten preparation program, that we do not focus on academics, and that social emotional development and play are our priorities. *
