Thank you for your interest in the MEO EJ Cohort and taking the time to fill out this form.
In January we plan to offer BIPOC middle school youth 8 weeks of Environmental Justice (EJ) workshops paired with poetry. What does that mean?
Starting January 15th we will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-6pm at Social Enterprise Greenhouse. If you are not able to get a ride after-school we will provide you with a bus pass or Uber ride (with your parents consent) we will also provide snacks.
Jesus Holquin activist, artist and REJC member will be leading the Monday workshop on Environmental Justice. We will learn on the topics you choose below. Justice Gaines is a Black poet and community organizer. Xe will be leading in learning about public speaking, stage presence and how to interpret what you are learning and sharing with Jesus and Lotus about Environmental Justice into poetry.
If you choose you will be performing your written work in front of an audience March 11th 2024. We are planning for that space to be Trinity Rep.
Your answers below is your voice. We want to hear what your needs and what you would like to experience during this program.
Thank you!
