A Zionist, anti-worker far right President was elected in Argentina, Javier Milei. Within his first 30 days in office, he used authoritarian measures to pass a huge attack on the Argentine working class and the right to protest. It’s over 300 measures including firing 5,000 workers, massive cuts to social spending, criminalizing the right to protest, privatizing industry and more. He's opening Argentina even more to US investments, and signaling that Argentine land is open for US to exploit and extract lithium, an attack on indigenous people and the land. He is a zionist who can be seen wrapped in the Israeli flag, who wants to move the Argentine embassy to Jerusalem and is strengthening zionism all over the world and especially in Latin America. 

Workers in Argentina are organizing a general strike on January 24-- which is a first fight back against these measures that set the tone for the rest of Milei’s Presidency. Comrades in Left Voice's sister organization, the Partido de Trabajadores Socialistas, are using their seats in Congress, positions in unions and universities to organize for an active strike-- with mobilizations in the streets and with discussions organized at the rank and file. Comrades are demanding that union leaderships organize a plan of struggle to topple all of Milei's reforms.
