School Skiing 2024

Kia ora whānau,

Skiing this year will be at Cardrona Ski Field or Treble Cone for 5 Fridays and is optional. For those who won't be skiing, school will be open as usual.

Dates are: the 16th, 23rd, 30th August and 6th, 13th of September with the 20th of September as a weather day.

The School and FOTS will organise and pay for the ski lessons for each child - you will need to register your child here and pay for their rental and/or lift pass. Once you have actioned this part, we can organise the lessons.

Lesson Times are 11am-1pm and 1:30pm-3:30pm. The teacher on the mountain will take your child to and from their lessons.

Parents are responsible for supervising their child on the mountain and ensuring their safety. Parents are also responsible for organising their own transport up and down the mountain. Shuttle buses run which you might like to take advantage of.

The lunch break is very short, only 30 minutes so a packed lunch would be the best option. Tamariki will need to wear the appropriate ski gear and thermals.

I will send home a paper copy closer to the time.
