2019 Victory Outreach Chino Baby Dedications

Congratulations on your desire to dedicate your child unto the Lord. As a family church, we value your decision and are very happy for you. We truly believe that "children are a gift of the LORD", Psalm 127:3.

Here is a brief explanation about the meaning of baby dedications:

Baby Dedication Requirements:

Because we value the importance of baby dedications, the parents of the baby (mom or dad) must faithfully attend Victory Outreach Chino for at least three months before dedicating their child. Dedicating a child to the Lord is more than a one-time event. It is a declaration to your family and to your church family of your commitment to raising your child in the ways of the Lord which for many people begins by being faithful in church attendance.

In addition, a one hour "Baby Dedication Preparation Class" is required one week before the baby dedication (on the Sunday before the day of the dedication). The purpose of the class is to explain the details, to answer questions that you might have, to review the meaning and purpose of the baby dedication, to explain the role of the parents and Godparents (or sponsors) and to connect and pray with you. We encourage the Godparents (and the entire family) to attend if possible.

The "Baby Dedication Preparation Class" takes place 30 minutes after the 11am service (usually at 1:30pm). If married both parents should attend the "Baby Dedication Preparation Class". If you are a single parent only, both parents are not required.

If the mother and father are NOT married, only one parent may go up to the altar for the dedication prayer.

Baby dedications take place on the last Sunday of each month. Requests for baby dedications that are made after the third week of the month will take place the following month.

Baby dedications are for children up to the age of 2 years old. Dedications for children older than 2 years take place once a year on Mother's Day weekend (May 12, 2018).

On the day of your child's dedication, the parents of the child must arrive 30 minutes before the service begins to allow our ushers enough time to arrange seating for you and your guests and to receive final instructions. If you arrive after the service has already started, the baby dedication will be postponed until the following month. We ask that the parents of the child being dedicated stay until the end of the service for a group photo.

Thank you.

Baby dedications take place on the last Sunday of each month. All requests made by the third Sunday of the month will take place on the following month. This will allow time for one of our ministers to contact you and confirm the date you have chosen. You must arrive 30 minutes before service begins. If the service has already begun, you will need to wait until the following month for the dedication. If you have any questions, please call the church office, 909-628-4959.
