Are you a devoted champion for women working and leading in the STEM community? Do you know any women advocates that pull out all the stops to promote women working in STEM? Do you value showcasing women who actively lift others while climbing?

Welcome to Athena's 21st Annual Pinnacle Awards. This celebration is a staple of Southern California's technology and life sciences sectors, showcasing the best in class of those advancing the promotion of women working in STEM.

These Pinnacle awards recognize extraordinary women and men who personify Athena’s mission of empowering 1 million women working and leading in STEM, by 2030.

2019 Pinnacle Award categories include:
- Individual in Life Sciences
- Individual in Technology
- Individual in Service (servicing STEM)
- Rising Star (5 years or fewer in the workforce)

One of Athena’s core values is to empower women to advocate for themselves and others. Therefore, the 2019 nominations process is newly designed to encourage nominees to effectively highlight their accomplishments and showcase how their professional and personal trajectory is broadening the career advancement for others.

All Pinnacle nominations will follow a simple LinkedIn posting prompted by Athena's LinkedIn account. Procedurally, you either nominate a colleague or tag yourself in the comments section and Athena will contact those tagged within 48 hours to process the submissions. Leveraging LinkedIn’s platform for these awards entices nominees to brush up on touting the passions and super powers around supporting women in STEM.

An eligible nominee, or their designated representative, must be present at the Pinnacle Awards Celebration on May 7, 2019 to be eligible for consideration.
