Application for the festival will close at the end of May 2019. Show dates, times and themes are provisional and will be confirmed as soon as the line-up is. The festival run the 4th-10th November 2019.
2.How much will it cost?
Applications for The Glasgow Festival of Burlesque are free however we kindly request that each performer submitting an application donates £5 for 1-2 acts and £7 for 3. This will help towards the running of the festival. This can be made to firstname.lastname@example.org via paypal. This is not compulsory, and in no way does it reflect on the outcome of applications.
3.Will I be paid for participating in the festival?
While we'd like to offer each performer there full rates however we can only offer a small payment to selected performers. Each performer accepted will receive a weekend pass to the festival, photographs and discounts to workshops. The Tea Time Tassel Off is currently unpaid.
4. Are there any restrictions on who can apply?
We've no restriction on who can apply however we ask that each performance is less than 6 minutes. Unfortunately we cannot accept acts with excessive use of liquid, food or other messy items and due to venue restrictions. We request that each performer also wear at least g-string and pasties, this applies to everyone.
For acts submitted we'll need all technical information, set-up, music and prop details. We cannot accept unfinished applications or applications with no video. Themes are subject to change.
Unfortunately we cannot provide accommodation although we are working with local accommodation to offer discounts for performers and audience members. We will be providing light snacks and refreshments backstage. You must take care of your own visa. We are unable to provide travel.
