The Buddhist Church of Stockton serves an important role in the lives of our families and the community. 

Rev. Candice Shibata, and all our organizations, continue to cultivate an experience of harmony and inclusivity where all can learn the value and support of the Buddha’s and Shinran Shonin’s teaching. We welcome all individuals to our membership and encourage your participation within the temple community. Your continued generous support is greatly appreciated!

The following membership dues for 2026 include a board approved increase to help meet our operational challenges, and the additional expense of providing security to protect our office staff, members, volunteers, and visitors. This schedule represents a $25 increase per person for the year to ensure our ability to preserve our facilities and programs, with the hope of expanding the value of your membership and deepening your connection and support to our national organization, the Buddhist Churches of America, in the coming year.

Senior Members age 70 and older:
Couples/Partners $600 or more
Individuals $325 or more

Regular Members:
Couples/Partners $890 or more
Individuals $505 or more

Individual Members under the age of 30 years old: 

$50 or more

Not ready to pay dues? No problem! For those who would like to participate in church activities without a paid membership, we ask that you still submit a contact form so we can keep you updated with our events! All are welcome.
