Load-in and Strike are required for all apprentices. Some crew positions are available. The diligent apprentice can learn about all areas of professional theater.
To be considered, the student must be available for approximately 30 – 50 hours per week, though the longer weeks will be concentrated on tech and opening. Apprentices do not have to work in all areas. Once both shows are open there will be 3 days off each week, Monday – Wednesday to explore San Francisco.
Rehearsals are indoors in downtown Livermore. Performances and tech are outdoors at Wente Vineyards Estate, 5565 Tesla Road, Livermore.
Start date: Wednesday, May 30, 2018 with a half-week of orientation and training, though some students can begin after school ends. End Date: July 31st, 2018.
An interview or meeting may be held with the producer. Live or video auditions for acting apprentices. THREE references required. Preference is given to students 21 and over, with a car and valid drivers license. The festival cannot offer transportation. Accepting applications now. Selection is on-going.
Students may receive college credit for their participation through University of the Pacific, College of the Pacific, Theatre Arts Department. Request information.
