Meetings are held every Monday night from 5:30-7:30pm at our Lead2Change Office (5215 N Ironwood Road, Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI 53217). Throughout the 2020-2021 program year, Interact members are required to attend three Saturday Etiquette Boot Camps bi-monthly, November-April. These will all be held at various locations and universities in Milwaukee and will be focused on personal and professional development. Additionally, Every Interact member will receive a summer internship that is either service focused or in their chosen career field. The Interactor should be available from June 21st-August 5th, 2021 to participate in the internship program. All Interactors will also participate in an annual summer retreat focused on team building and program year planning. This will take place in June before the internship experience kicks-off and will involve traveling, most likely to the Wisconsin Dells. As far as project planning goes, Interact Club plans and executes one local and one international service project each year, while also dispersing grants to other youth-led groups to carry out their community service vision.
Parents will be required to attend two orientation meetings, one in the summer and one in the fall, to orient themselves better with our program and the expectations we have of their youth. Additionally, parents will be encouraged to support their students with transportation, paperwork, and anything else that may arise.
Thank you for your interest! We are excited to read your application!
