Lab LLC Interest Form
Congratulations on coming to Georgia Southern University next fall! We are happy to know that you are interested in living in the Lab Living-Learning Community (LLC). In order to be placed in this community, you will need to fill out the below form completely. The Lab LLC Advisory Board will review your interest and contact you if you have been accepted into the community. Thank you again for your interest and we can't wait to meet you!

Students accepted into the LLC will have current room assignments changed to live in an open space within the LLC, located in Eagle Village. This will erase your current room assignment and take you out of a space with preferred roommates (if applicable). Should you and a preferred roommate want to move together to the LLC, you will both have to have declared majors in the College of Science & Mathematics and fill out this form.

LLC Requirements - READ FULLY

In order to be placed in the LLC, I must hold a major in the College of Science & Mathematics (COSM). Should a student change their major outside of the College of Science & Mathematics throughout the semester, they will be asked to move to a new residence hall assignment.

All students in the LLC will be have a $20 LLC Activity Fee added to their housing bill each semester that they participate in the LLC. These funds will be used to plan specialty programs for the community.



Students accepted into the LLC are expected to be an active and engaged member of the community. This includes (but is not limited to):

- Being pre-enrolled in FYE 1220 (First Year Experience) and one or more common COSM courses together.

- Moving into the residence hall early (Wed, August 8th from 9am - noon) to take part in the LLC Welcome Social (Wed, August 8th), LLC Teambuilding Retreat (Thurs, August 9th), and the LLC Service Event (Fri, August 10th).

- Participating in the following required LLC events: The Lab LLC Orientation (Tentatively scheduled for Sat, August 18th), Spring Retreat (January), and the End of Year Celebration (April).

- Participating in a minimum amount of LLC optional events throughout the year focused on academic success, faculty interactions, professional development, and networking.

- Signing a LLC contract that covers the general and participation requirements (listed above) and behavioral guidelines for the community.



The Lab LLC is located in Eagle Village. Students accepted into the community will be placed in a 2- or 4-bedroom suite in Eagle Village, regardless of residence hall preferences listed on housing application. Additionally, preferred roommate preferences from the housing application or current roommate assignments will not be honored unless the roommate also meets the major requirements and applies to live in the LLC.
