Join the JVP Member Drive Volunteer Team!
Every year JVP holds a Member Drive. And every year at this time hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people commit or recommit to JVP, to doing the work to help bring about justice in Palestine and Israel. These Member Drives are crucial to the continued growth of our organization; they ensure we have the people power and the resources to continue organizing, educating, and doing outreach. And these Member Drives are only possible because of the hundreds of committed member volunteers (like you, we hope!).

We will be asking volunteers to step up and challenge themselves and their networks in ways you may not be used to. We will be asking you to do the work of bringing your people into the conversation on Palestine, to ask your people to join you in JVP as members. We ask you to do this because we know that you - your story, your passion - might be just what someone needs to take the next steps towards action, to get off the sidelines. And year after year we see that those who come to us by way of their peers - through volunteer outreach like what we’re asking you to do here - stick with JVP longer, attend more educational and advocacy events, and are generally more committed to the movement than those who come to us through other channels.

How does it work?
1. After you commit to joining the team by submitting this form, we’ll email you a personalized-to-you Member Drive sign-up page and a toolkit of resources. We’ll add you to an email listserv where you can coordinate with your fellow volunteer team members, and where we’ll send important campaign updates.

2. You’ll then use the resources in the toolkit to reach out to your personal network asking them to join. You’ll send them your personal Member Drive sign-up page so that we can track who has joined through your outreach.

3. Every day, you’ll receive an email report of who has joined from your page.

4. At the end of the Member Drive, the top volunteers who have signed up the most new or renewed members will receive a prize!

Who is a good candidate for the team?
As long as you have the time and you’re passionate about JVP, you’ll be a great member of the team! Whether you’re an experienced organizer, or if you’ve never participated in a Member Drive before, that’s okay. We’ve got tons of resources: examples of what to include on your page, what to ask your friends, what to post on social media, and plenty of other great tips. Joining the team is an awesome way to learn to organize. It can be a great first volunteer role with JVP!
