A simple questionnaire for prospective students of Yuhwikihn Medicine ("Way Walking") within the Sacred Order of Lehb of the Nemenhah People.
This form includes various questions I have used during my private interviews with prospective students to determine the compatibility of said student's belief systems with the principles of the Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn, and also their general receptiveness to these teachings in general.
The first mistake that any Tiheht (student) might make is to conflate the principles of the Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn with ordinances and teachings from other religious institutions and/or churches with which they may associate, as well as maintaining various presumptions about their mentor. On more than one occasion, I have been forced to terminate a mentorship due to the student's unwillingness to receive the instruction without trying to correct and/or proselytize the teacher using a system of belief that overtly conflicts with the essential tenets of Nemenhah Religion.
Another common mistake that many prospective Tihehtsihm (students) make is to conflate Yuhwihkihn Medicine with various popularized New Age/Metaphysical beliefs and principles, such as so-called "Shadow Work," "Journeying," "Past Life Meditation/Therapy," "Akashic Record Recovery," "Light Channeling," and other forms of "Neo-Shamanism" to name only a few. Prospective students should be forewarned that the our Pehli commonly refer to New Age/Metaphysical teachings as the "Religion of Self-Obsession." Many of these questions are designed to target specific ideologies within modern-day New Age/Metaphysical schools of thought that present some of the biggest, most frustrating obstacles my students have had to face, beliefs and belief systems they have had to overcome, during the course of their instruction.
Prospective students should also be aware that one of the more challenging aspects of learning Yuhwihkihn Medicine is the unlearning of many popularly or traditionally held beliefs and principles which may bar them from actually achieving their goal, which is to be able to walk up to the proverbial threshold of the Way and knock on the door. We Yuhwihkihn-Pehli have learned from hard experience that if someone approaches that threshold, requests entrance, but has a head full of false, misleading doctrines and/or false preconceptions about the Way and its purpose, the Haymehnay will simply not open the door.
Each question has been specially selected because it has objectively "correct" or "incorrect" answers based in traditional Nemenhah doctrine, current policy from the Pehli Council, and/or specific Wyaykihn ("revelations") received by our Pehli that have helped clarify and shape said policies and practices within our Order.
This form is intended to pre-empt and hopefully avoid some of the misunderstandings I have encountered over the years. That being said, this form is not intended to test or determine the inherent "worthiness" of any person to receive instruction pertaining to the ancient Nemenhah religious practices we refer to as "walking upon the Way." All human beings are born worthy to walk upon the Way, but whether or not they can learn to do so within the Nemenhah system of instruction is entirely up to them.
Please use this form to determine for yourself if the kind and type of instruction provided by our Pehli is appropriate for you in your sacred walk, or please feel free to use this form as a source for specific talking points if you'd like to discuss some of these subjects with one of our Pehli directly.
Thank you and Walk sacred,
Wellamotkin
