Chapter Operations Awards Application
The Chapter Operations Awards Application should be submitted by all chapters who wish to apply for Certificates of Achievement. All questions regarding chapter operations are not required and SHOULD NOT be filled out if a chapter does not feel it qualifies. Note: information submitted in this application will be used to determine the George A. Beck Outstanding Chapter Award, Chapter Operations Award, Most Improved Chapter, Jules Lennard Elimination of Prejudice Award, and William "Snap" Melniker Community Service Award.

To be considered for major awards the "Greek Life Director Reference Form" must be submitted by the appropriate date to headquarters@pilambdaphi.org. The "Greek Life Director Reference Form" can be downloaded at the Awards Submission homepage.

Community Service & Civic Engagement

The following points are what you will be evaluated on: Chapter-wide per member semesterly/quarterly community service requirement. Total volunteer hours completed by your chapter (including average per brother.) Total completed amount of community service hours for the chapter. Describe the service project(s) that your chapter participated in during this past academic year (what percentage of members participated in these events?) How many community service projects were completed during the academic year where at least 20% of the chapter participated? Please list all community service events where at least 20% of the chapter participated (provide a brief description of the event,number of brothers who participated, and any other information that you feel is important.) Scholarship

The following points are what you will be evaluated on: Please outline the programs your chapter offers to brothers and new members during the school year related to improving academic performance (i.e. study halls, tutoring, etc). Did your chapter set goals related to academic achievement during the school year? What were those goals? Did you meet those goals? Is there a required GPA for potential new members interested in joining the fraternity? If so, what is this GPA? Is this GPA requirement implemented by the chapter or university? Is there a required GPA for a Brother to be an officer within the chapter? If so, what is this GPA? Is this GPA requirement implemented by the chapter or university? What incentives/rewards does your chapter provided to members related to academics (i.e. scholarships, special recognition for highest GPA, points towards housing, etc?) What disincentives for poor academic performance does your chapter provided to members related to academics (i.e. social probation, loss of voting rights, etc?) The following points are what you will be evaluated on: Briefly describe the policies and regulations you follow in your housing unit (if applicable). Do you have a House Manager who oversees house operations? If so, please explain his responsibilities. Please explain how the chapter assigns brothers weekly cleaning assignments/responsibilities? Do you use a system for selecting room priorities for brothers living in the house? If so, please explain how this system works. Any additional comments related to chapter housing are welcome.
Fraternalism

The following points are what you will be evaluated on: Management Policies are being followed during all chapter Rituals? Briefly explain how you are executing the ritual as it is defined in the ritualistic text. Does your chapter have a pre-ritual run through? If so please explain what preparation your chapter does to ensure a quality initiation experience. Does you chapter have a post-ritual breakdown and explanation of the text following initiation? The following points are what you will be evaluated on: What alumni events did the chapter host this past academic year? What other ways does the undergraduate chapter maintain relationships/communication with their alumni base? The following points are what you will be evaluated on: Are members required to be involved in other campus groups? If so, what is the requirement? How is this requirement enforced? Does the chapter take part in programs that are not service or philanthropic based, but still engage campus community in a positive way? Examples include free compliments, door holding, dress for success seminars, etiquette dinners, staff and faculty appreciation functions, etc. Does the chapter host events open to all students, and if so, what were they and how many non Pilams attended? Elimination of Prejudice
