Stephen F. Austin State University Twirl-O-Jack & Feature Twirler Auditions
All candidates for SFA Twirl-O-Jack for the Lumberjack Marching Band will be taught a dance twirl routine choreographed by the Twirl-O-Jack Coordinator, Candice Curbow. T-O-J Candidates will learn the routine during Saturday rehearsal and return on Sunday for a brief review session. T-O-J auditions will begin at 12:00 p.m., immediately following feature twirler auditions at the William R. Johnson Coliseum, located on the SFA campus.

***PURPLE TEAM*** Requirements
Twirlers wishing to be considered for the purple team will need to do as follows:
1. Complete the T-O-J group audition process (details above)
2. Audition with a prepared 2-3 minute solo
3. Be prepared to demonstrate the following:
*3-turn (vertical)
*Toss Illusion (front, back or both)
*3 baton juggles with loops
*3 baton box
*strong fundamentals in multi-baton tricks
*rolls
*advanced bodywork (leaps, illusions, splits)
Rehearsal Schedule:
1:30 p.m. Interviews for Leadership/Feature Twirler
2:00 p.m. Auditions Begin
*Candidates have the option of providing two letters of recommendation. These letters may be emailed to twirlojacks@gmail.com or mailed/faxed to the SFA band office at the address provided in the audition packet. To view the complete T-O-J Audition packet, please visit

*Prep Classes will be offered prior to auditions to help prepare T-O-J Candidates for auditions. This class is strongly encouraged for first year candidates. Registration for Prep Class is available on our website at
