Parents are required to complete this registration form with your child(ren) and agree to the guidelines prior to submitting entries.

Entries will need to be videoed and uploaded using Flipgrid. Video entries can be submitted from Monday 30th August Week 8. The Flipgrid link will be embedding in SeeSaw or Google Classroom ( depending on your child's online platform) for easy access.

Please read and agree to the following guidelines if you wish to submit a showcase video for your child(ren).

Guidlines for submissions:

1. Videos must be a MAXIMUM of 2.15secs. If you need to edit music and you can not edit properly perhaps get someone to fade out for you
2. Content must be appropriate and conducive to the Catholic ethos, our school community and family viewing. This includes content and attire.
    a. Please listen to the lyrics of songs – they must be clean versions and must not allude to any content not suited to children
     b. Attire – all costumes must be appropriate and suit the theme / style of act. No crop tops or short dance shorts / tights please.
     c. Drama / Comedy etc content should be suitable – no inappropriate or rude jokes, no swearing and no discussion of topics that may offend ie racial slurs etc
3.  CREATING YOUR VIDEO
     a.  Ask a parent or older sibling to help film you
     b.  Film in landscape
     c.  Save and upload on the Flipgrid link by Week 9 Monday 6th September 2021 5pm.
     d.  Ensure your background is clear of personal items i.e. family pictures, beds. Try and aim for as clear of
space as possible and ensure you are safe.
      e.  Film yourself doing an introduction speaking clearly – include your name, grade, genre of act ie dance,
vocal etc and name of act.
      f.   Filming your act – try to get the whole body in the video at all times. Imagine that people are watching you
live – they do not just look at your face, or your hands – they watch the whole image.
      g.  Your video MUST BE THE ACT you are planning on doing. Good planning is key so please do ad lib or
improvisation. Imagine this – can you do your act twice or three times and it be the same. Don’t forget to
be excited, smile, be sad, etc. If you are selected – this exact video will be showcased so ensure it is
            quality.
       h.  Limit outside noise i.e. brothers and sisters in the background etc. We want good clear sound so ensure
your music is positioned close to the videographer.
        i.  Watch your video back and ensure the quality is good before sending it in. Ask Mum and Dad to watch it
            with you.
4.   Parents must approve student submissions prior to adding your video to Flipgrip.
