「速藝工作坊」Bing Lee Fast Art workshop

著名香港藝術家李秉罡(現居於美國紐約)是視覺詞彙創作的先驅,擅於以藝術作為語言創作個人日記,表達構思與抒發情感。藝術家現正到訪香港,希望與藝術愛好者分享創作的樂趣,帶領參加者創造屬於自己的視覺詞彙。

由藝術家李秉罡構思及製作的「速藝工作坊」(Fast Art workshop) ,將為初學者提供模版藝術與噴畫創作的體驗,及與著名美藉華裔當代藝術家互相協作交流的機會。藝術家將親身示範專業的創作技巧,並帶領參加者共同創作一幅大型展示橫幅,作品將於牛棚藝術村展出。

參加者將會學到:

▶ 如何利用圖象作為視覺詞彙進行溝通
▶ 親身體驗製作模板噴畫作品
▶ 與知名藝術家和藝術愛好者集體創作

關於藝術家:
李秉罡1948年出生於中國廣州,在香港成長。於70年代後期移居美國,至今工作及居於美國紐約,擁有豐富的視覺藝術創作經驗。李氏在1990年建立李秉罡工作室, 曾於世界各地參與多個場域特定的公共藝術計劃,包括紐約市捷運局的坎奈爾街(Canal St.)地鐵站。李氏現為大館當代美術館展覽「拆棚」參與藝術家之一, 是次展覽由Spring工作室主辦、李綺敏策展。

本公共項目由1a空間及大館當代美術館主辦。為展覽「拆棚」的相關系列活動。

Are you interested in learning the art of stencils and spraypainting?

Hong Kong artist Bing Lee (now based in New York) was one of the early pioneers of using visual vocabulary as a personal diary to express emotions and feelings. He is visiting Hong Kong in order to teach interested students how to create their own visual vocabulary.

This "Fast Art Workshop" has been specially designed by Bing Lee to allow beginners experiencing and working with a renowned Hong Kong American artist under his guidance on how to create art. The workshop begins with a professional art demonstration by Bing Lee , where you will learn to help an artist in creating a large format banner for display together. Students learn the following:

▶ How to use images as visual vocabulary to communicate.
▶ Hands-on experience to make stencil art.
▶ Work collectively as a team.

Target Group: All are welcomed. Beginners Welcomed!
(Contact information of Legal Guardian is compulsory for participants under age-18)

Free admission.
Limited seats available on registration. Registrations are based on first come first served basis.

About artist :
Bing Lee (b 1948 in Guangzhou, China) grew up in Hong Kong and then moved to New York in the late 1970s where he has lived and worked ever since. In 1990, the artist established Bing Lee studio and since then he has installed numerous site-specific public art projects worldwide including the Canal Street subway station in New York City. Bing Lee is an artist in the Dismantling the Scaffold Exhibition at Tai Kwun Contemporary curated by Spring Workshop's Christina Li.

(6)如於活動舉行前2小時, 天文台發出八號或以上熱帶氣旋警告或宣佈懸掛紅色或黑色暴雨警告信號, 是次活動將會改期, 再作另外行通知。
If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above, or the Red or Black Rainstorm Warning is up 2 hours before the event start-time, the event will be rearranged on another date. Separated arrangement will be informed.

(7) 大會保留更改活動細則的權利,如有任何爭議,主辦機構保留最終確定權。任何有關活動臨時改動或取消,將以活動網頁公佈為準。
The Organizer/Event Producer reserves the right of final decision of the event. Any changes or contingent measures for the event announced by the Organizer/Event Producer and posted on the event's website shall prevail.
