After this past snowstorm, our volunteer group reached capacity faster than ever before. That moment made something clear: the need is growing, and it’s time to formalize and scale our senior support work.

The Flossy is building out a dedicated volunteer corps to support seniors and vulnerable neighbors in Canarsie with snow and ice removal. Our goal is to better understand the level of need, expand our volunteer capacity, and continue strengthening our long-standing tradition of service to our community.

If you are a Canarsie resident who needs assistance with shoveling snow, or if you are able to volunteer to help a neighbor, please fill out the form below.

At the start, we will prioritize those most in need, with the goal of ultimately building a volunteer force large enough to support all seniors and vulnerable residents in Canarsie.
