Biodiversity Bonanza: Celebrating Natural History Collections at UConn When: 4:45pm on April 17th
The Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB) Department and the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History (CSMNH) will host two members of the National Academy, Drs. Pam & Doug Soltis.
On the occasion of their talk "Natural History Collections for 21st Century-Research", which will begin at 3:30 pm in BPB 131, we will host the Biodiversity Bonanza: Celebrating Natural History Collections at UConn.
The event will include tours of the Biodiversity Research Collections (BRC) and the UConn Botanical Conservatory (UBC) prior to the talk and a reception and poster session in the Gant Light Court immediately following the talk.
We welcome poster presentations showcasing research that contributes broadly to the study of biodiversity. Posters that highlight work that uses or contributes to UConn's extensive collections are especially welcome.
Submissions are encouraged from scientists at all levels, including undergraduates, graduate students, collections managers, staff scientists, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty.
Prizes will be awarded across multiple categories! Join us for an engaging and collaborative event.
