MetroLab Network will be accepting submissions until June 15, 2018 for panels, breakouts and lightning talks. Details about each session are below. Please direct any questions about submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org. Preference will be given to speakers from MetroLab Network member cities and universities. Sample talks and the agenda from last year's conference can be found at www.metrolabnetwork.org/annual-summit.
Plenary Panel Discussion: Plenary Panel discussions will be between 30 and 45 minutes in length and should address topics regarding policy, governance, and/or deployment of innovative methods and technologies surrounding local government services.
Breakout Panel Sessions: Breakout sessions will be 45 to 60 minutes in length and are an opportunity to dive into specific topic areas in greater depth with technical and implementation experts. Examples from past events include: Air Quality Sensing, Predictive Analytics in Human Services, and Privacy and Open Data.
Lightning Talks: Lightning talks are 10 minute presentations that provide an opportunity for cities and universities to showcase innovative new projects or programs. Unlike previous years, this year the talks will be organized by topic into breakout sessions in order to give the audience more time to ask questions, discuss projects and exchange best practices.
