Anonymous Personal Vehicle Transportation Survey

Thank you for participating in Moving Around Pender's (MAP) and Pender Earth's data collection initiative to estimate the total number of kilometres/vehicle traveled by the Pender community. All information collected will remain anonymous. It should take less than 10 minutes to do the survey.
If you are OK with disclosing contact information you will be entered in a random draw for a $100 Tru Value gift card!
The data gathered will be used to advocate for support of public transportation on the Pender Islands and other improvements. Bring Back the Bus!

This survey is identical to the one being used by the Galiano Conservancy in their One Earth-One Island project (see: https://galianoconservancy.ca/oneisland/)
Today please complete Part 1 and record your vehicle's current odometer reading(s). In the Fall of 2021 we will email you to remind you to complete Part 2 and submit your updated odometer reading(s). We will calculate the difference between your two odometer readings to estimate how many kilometres the Pender community drives in a year. The data collected in this study will be used to contribute to the calculation of Pender Island's ecological footprint. Only aggregated data will be presented - no individual information or data will be distributed. Study results will be presented at public events and in public reports, and may be submitted for publication in scientific journals. If you do not wish to have your data included in this study, please exit the survey now.
