VBLM: Reopening Virginia's Schools
Hello VBLM Village!

We know everyone has been understandably anxious about plans to re-open Virginia's schools.  If you are a parent, student, educator, staff, or school community member, there is plenty to consider as we adapt to new norms brought for the by COVID-19.

We are interested in documenting your narrative, as it relates to the re-opening of schools.

Please respond to the questions below, to help us gather insight and address the narrative regarding opening Virginia's Schools from the Black perspective.  Note that your written response to the last question is OPTIONAL and responding to it gives The Virginia Black Lifestyle Magazine, LLC. permission to publish your insight.

We will be recording responses as part of a documentary.  If you would like to be contacted to be a part of the documentary, please respond to that question in the survey and we will follow up with you to schedule a recording in Richmond or Northern, Virginia.

Virginia Public Schools have strict policies on vaccinations. On the flip-side, Black people have just reasons to have concerns when it comes to vaccinations.  When a vaccination become available for COVID-19, will you and your loved ones take the vaccination?

Virginia guidelines have specifically called for the need, for Special Needs students and ELL students to attend school in a face-to-face format. If you are a parent/guardian of a Special Needs student, or an ELL student, do you plan to enroll them in public school in the fall?
