The College Park City-University Partnership, working in collaboration with the College Park Arts Exchange, the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, the University of Maryland’s School of Music, and the City of College Park, is developing a weekly outdoor performance series that supports the vision of a sustainable, walkable, vibrant top-20 college town.
We are seeking volunteer artists to participate in weekly outdoor performances by local musicians and arts performers between September 8, 2017 and November 3, 2017. Our goal is to enhance public spaces in College Park with art and music, bring the community together, articulate the area’s history and give cultural context to new development.
Performances will be held at Northgate Park (just north of UMD Campus Entrance at Baltimore Avenue and Campus Drive) on Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Little Tavern Park (at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue and Lehigh Street) on Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Please contact Sarah Lee at firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-332-5572 if you have any questions.
Note: The Partnership, at this time, will not be able to supply stands, chairs, tables or a tent. Amplification cannot exceed 65 decibels during the day and 55 decibels at night (after 6:00 p.m.). This is a volunteer artists call; artists may collect donations.
