The workshop is a weekend devoted to creating an audio piece for potential broadcast on Radio Boise. The theme is "Intersection" and can be figurative, literal, or anything depicting at least two stories that intersect; love, collision or life lessons. Tuesday evening (February 12) we brainstorm your ideas. Saturday (February 15) is spent meeting, refining ideas, recording interviews in the field and Saturday evening through Sunday (February 16) is usually spent editing, eating pizza, following up on interviews, and adding sound design. Pieces are due by midnight Sunday with a little wiggle room for stragglers.
Previous experience with audio production is not required, and participants can opt to work solo or with a partner. (If you already have a partner to work with, each applicant should fill out this form but please indicate that you'd like to work together on one piece.)
Tuesday's meeting will provide a possible opportunity to partner up on a story if you're interested. Please mention this in the answer to the first "essay" question ("Please take a moment to share...").
