Those who complete this training will learn how to:
- Talk about the policy, the history and the purpose.
- Have the knowledge and skills to approach and speak with others (including those in violation of the policy, should they so choose) and have a respectful and appropriate conversation with them about the policy.
-Any students, staff and faculty member may sign up for this training.
-Certificates are provided upon completion of the training for those who choose to be an ambassador for the policy.
-Trainings are about 90 minutes long and held monthly.
-You can also check out the Buffalo State webpage for more news & information, trainings, workshops and events http://www.buffalostate.edu/weigel/tobaccofree.xml
Also, please note that this is the same training that is provided for the Tobacco Free Ambassadors who volunteer to help promote the tobacco free policy by taking an active role in informing people that a tobacco free policy is in effect. A large majority of Buffalo State students and employees support a tobacco free environment.
