WHO ARE WE: Market Shares is a student-run, campus-based food distribution program that connects the Brown, RISD, and College Hill communities with regional producers through affordable weekly shares of local and sustainable produce, dairy, and speciality items. For more information please visit www.brownmarketshares.com.
YOUR JOB: Volunteers are asked to work the SAME 1-hour shift during our distribution EVERY Thursday of the season. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, counting produce deliveries; managing additional share item (bread, mushroom, dairy, and meat) check-in, assisting shareholders, and cleaning up. Tasks vary throughout the day.
*ALL* volunteers must attend the one-hour training session Wednesday, June 12th at 7pm.
Volunteers get to take *ONE FREE PRODUCE ITEM* at the end of every shift!
DO YOU LOVE MARKET SHARES AND WANT TO DO MORE? Are you interested in being a shift leader? Shift leaders work the same 2-hour shifts every week and have additional responsibilities including delegating tasks to volunteers, troubleshooting, reviewing the Market Day Notes document, etc. Please just send me an email if you are interested.
If you have questions about volunteering specifically, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for applying. We're excited that you're interested in joining the Summer 2019 team!
