The ROLE OF A MENTOR is to assist one specific NEH participant with developing skills and knowledge related to their business. They will offer advice to this participant throughout different stages of launching their business from idea to testing. Due to the nature of this role, mentors are expected to have experience running a business or supporting businesses through the start up process.
Mentors will be required to meet their mentee in person for a minimum of 3 hours per month (1.5 hrs on a bi-weekly basis). Mentors will be assigned and introduced to mentees by Ryerson University's Diversity Institute based on their business-specific needs. Meetings will take place in locations agreed to by both mentors and mentees.
