Ashevillage Sanctuary: Member Agreement

Greetings! Please read and initial all sections below. This, along with your payment, confirms that you understand and agree to the terms of your Sanctuary Membership.

    1) OUR INTENTION

    Our intention at the Sanctuary (sometimes known as Ashevillage, though more and more as a Goddess Sanctuary) is to: 1) provide you with a wonderful community timeshare experience; 2) anchor in the divine feminine on the planet; 3) be a beautiful, affordable, ecologically sound, and sacred place for community to nourish and deepen connections with ourselves, each other, and the rest of the natural world while inspiring a just & regenerative culture to thrive. Our community timeshares provide you with: • Having an affordable, nurturing home away from home where you can stay any time • Someone else handling all the maintenance, utilities & general upkeep of the space • Enjoying a sense of connective community, inspiring people & aligned values • Being an easy walk to downtown & bordering 60 acres of woods & trails • Relishing in the beauty of this uniquely designed & purposeful place • Supporting a local, women-run, bad ass business • Using the naturally-treated hot tub...24/7!     2) YOUR MEMBERSHIP SUPPORTS

    As a member, you are supporting an eco-urban Goddess Sanctuary that is dedicated to: • Anchoring the divine feminine & all manners of authentic, intimate & sensual living • Working with permaculture, living skills, food as medicine & ecological practices • Contributing toward the creation of a more resilient, just & healed world for all • Hosting ancestral, ceremonial, body-centered, erotic & healing arts

    3) GUEST HOUSE & GROUNDS

    SANCTUARY Our beautiful, eco-urban, comfy-chic, community-oriented Sanctuary includes: • 2 delightful, sunlit guesthouses with custom-made earthen plasters • 10 exquisitely designed private & shared bedrooms that sleep 20+ • 5 large common rooms including living, dining, kitchen & office • 2 private practitioner rooms for you to host client sessions • 2 stone courtyards, an ampitheatre, waterfall & gardens • 7 inside & outside areas for meetings & co-working • 20-person flex-use gathering & event spaces • Free parking & an easy walk to town • Wifi, washer/dryer & all utilities • 24/7 access to the hot tub! PERMACULTURE OASIS 1.3 acres of beautiful, organic, edible & pollinator gardens, rain catchment ponds, a large recycled stone courtyard, and connected woodlands with 3 small earthen cottages. We border 60 acres of forested walking trails. We’re an 8-minute walk to the heart of downtown Asheville. PRACTITIONER ROOMS We have two beautiful practitioner rooms (with massage tables). If you are interested in seeing clients, the rooms are available to you until they are booked. 20% of sessions goes to the Sanctuary. You keep the rest. CLEANING The houses are cleaned on a weekly basis. Bathrooms and kitchens are cleaned daily. You are asked to leave spaces as good as you find them. MANAGEMENT Our live-in management team consists of three awesome interns who help maintain the calendar and cleaning, as well as the site and gardens. You will get to know them throughout your stay. 4-MONTH TRIAL We are offering a 4-month trial this January-April 2017. You will be welcome to renew again after that, as well as share your feedback, and help us provide more of what you want.

    4) CLEANING

    CLEANING SCHEDULE Cleaning: The houses are cleaned on a weekly basis. Bathrooms & kitchens are cleaned daily. You are asked to leave spaces the same or better than you find them. PERSONAL BELONGINGS When your stay is complete, please put your belongings in your bin and put your bin in the closet. Please make the bed up and leave the room in the same or better condition than you found it. INFORM US If you notice something that needs attention, please notify our management team. Thank you!

    5) MEMBERSHIP DETAILS

    • Membership starts with a 4-month trial. Your membership may be renewed again after 4 months. • Overnights are in private or shared rooms, 1-3 beds each. Private rooms are $10 more/person. • Beds are first-come, first-served. Availability can be viewed in the shared google calendar. • Scheduling your overnight guarantees you a bed, though exact rooms are not guaranteed. • Cancellations must be made 48+ hours in advance or your reservation will be counted. • You will have 12 overnights per month only. There are no month-to-month rollovers. • You will receive a bin that can be kept at the Sanctuary for linens & personal use. • Clean up after yourself, leaving the space in as good or better shape. • You will have access to the kitchen and other common areas. • You may split your membership with up to four people. • Your guests, friends & family may use your overnights. • Quiet hours: 10pm-8am.

    6) MAKING YOUR RESERVATION

    MAKING YOUR RESERVATION • Please view the "Sanctuary Member's Calendar" that was shared with you when you applied. • Click on the tab for your month to check all availability. • Text our calendar keeper with the days you'd like to stay & she will add that into the calendar. GUESTS • Overnights are counted on a per person basis. If you are booking for a guest, even if you share a bed, please count their stay as an overnight. CANCELLATIONS • You may change your reservation no later than 48 hours before your check in time. • If your cancellation is under 48 hours, those overnights will be counted. AFTER YOUR STAY • Please leave the room in the same condition as when you arrived, including tidying the bed up so the room looks nice. • Put your personal belongings in your bin in the closet. PRIVATE ROOMS • There is an up charge of $10/person/night if you would like to stay in a private room. • This is based on an 'honor system'. Please put your cash in an envelope and into the magic Cash Jar (it will be shown to you). ***PLEASE NOTE: You are guaranteed a bed, but not a particular room -- even after it is written in the calendar,. This is because we may have to adjust based on the needs of the day.

    7) COMMUNICATIONS

    TEXT Communicating via text will ensure the fastest response. Please be sure to exchange numbers with the calendar keeper. FEEDBACK If you have any suggestions, questions, or feedback please let our management team know via email or in person. We are here to help things run smoothly. Your input is welcome.

    8) FEE, PAYMENT & CANCELLATION

    FEE $365 monthly, which can be split/shared with others. That's $30/night + full day access + all amenities, hot tub, free parking, tea, etc. Add all that up and it's more like $20/night + additional value. When the Sanctuary operated as a guesthouse, rooms went for up to $131/night. The value is amazing! PAYMENT SCHEDULE Initial payment includes: First & last month + $100 refundable deposit. Your other two payments (month 2 + 3) are due on the 1st of each month. After the January thru April trial, you can renew. PAYMENT Send your first month ($365) + last month ($365) + security deposit ($100) + 3% PayPal service fee ($25) for a total of $855 to www.Paypal.com via paypal@ashevillage.org. Add a note saying: timeshare. DEPOSIT Your $100 security deposit will be refunded to you unless there are unexpected cleaning or damage fees that are incurred because of you or your guests. CANCELLATION There are NO REFUNDS. If your plans shift, you may pass/sell your overnights to friends, family, or even other Sanctuary members. Please do *not* post this on Craigslist or invite random people into the Sanctuary.

I also understand that this is a trial run & the terms and conditions may change in time, of which I'll be informed. Upon initialing each section & signing this document, plus sending my payment, my membership will be confirmed!

    11) MEMBER: ACCIDENT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

    I HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF BEING AN ASHEVILLAGE SANCTUARY MEMBER, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault. I certify that I am physically fit and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my participation in this activity or event. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers of the activity or event in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity or event. In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this event, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: (A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this event, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: Ashevillage Sanctuary LLC and/or their staff, volunteers, representatives, and agents, the activity or event holders, activity or event sponsors, activity or event volunteers; (B) I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity or event, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. I acknowledge that Ashevillage Sanctuary LLC and staff, volunteers, representatives, and agents are NOT responsible for the errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity. I acknowledge that this activity or event may involve a test of a person’s physical and mental limits and may carry with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks may include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, insects or animals, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, and/or producers of the event, and lack of hydration. I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity or event. (C) MEDIA RELEASE I understand that I may be photographed, recorded, or videoed. I agree to allow my photo, video, audio, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose including for any promotional purposes, and any other purposes. The accident waiver and release of liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT, AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
