This free organizing training hosted by the Rural Power Coalition (RPC) will include four weekly 1-hr sessions. All trainings will be virtual and held at 7PM Eastern/ 4PM Pacific. There will be an additional two office hour sessions, to discuss course topics and engage with other organizers .

Organizing for Energy Affordability & Resiliency (Thursday, Jan. 22)
How to start having conversations about affordability and reliability with community members, as an entry to organizing efforts.

Organizing Electric Co-op Members (Thursday, Jan. 29)
Engaging with member-owners, how to find & target areas for improvement at your electric co-op, community benefits plans and how to secure them.

Mobilizing People & Applying Popular Pressure (Thursday, Feb. 5)
Power mapping, engaging with board members, rural organizing & media strategies for broader engagement.


Building Coalitional Power (Thursday, Feb. 12)
Building local power, building power between different geographies, co-ops, and maintaining relationships from the training itself.

Reading and viewing materials will be shared with registrants ahead of each session, and there will be hands-on "assignments" that folks can engage in, to start getting more involved in organizing, locally.
