KCI NGSS Program
Our NGSS program (formerly named MADE Science) is kicking off on July 29, 2019 through August 2, 2019. This program is grant-funded, allowing the Krause Center for Innovation to offer this five day program for a non-refundable, non-transferable $75 fee.
The program is comprised to 30 hours (5 days) of face-to-face training, providing ample time for practice and discussion. Participants will have access to the instructors and other members of the cohort using online collaboration tools. The program empowers educators to use hands-on NGSS-aligned content to promote student inquiry and drive content mastery. Participants will model and use new teaching strategies which allows students to take a greater responsibility for their own learning. Finally, collaboration with fellow educators will help participants gain confidence, build new content, and share their learning within a professional learning network.
The program runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, July 29, 2019 through August 2, 2019.
