MAKE FASHION INCLUSIVE is a project under The Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" (Invest for Jobs), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. Under the cooperation, Bluecrest School of Fashion and Design will provide training in fashion skills upgrade for small and medium scale female owned fashion enterprises and their apprentices for 3 months.  Kindly review the eligibility criteria below before applying. MAKE FASHION INCLUSIVE - COHORT TWO
Eligibility Criteria:  
  • Applicants must be between 18 to 45 years old.
  • They must possess basic literacy skills, including reading, writing.
  • Applicants must own a fashion business with at least 3 years of experience in the fashion business.
  • They must demonstrate the ability to make a straight stitch.
  • They must  currently be involved in or have prior experience in garment production
  • The applicant's business must qualify as a small or medium-scale enterprise, employing a minimum of 4 workers or employees if it is not owned by a PWD.
  • Businesses owned by PWDs qualify to participate with only one senior apprentice.
  • 80% of applicants should be female, and 20% of trainees can be male, but priority will be given to female applicants.
  • 80% of selected trainees must be persons with disabilities (PWDs), with a particular focus on applicants with physical disabilities and Albinos.
  • Applicants must be Ghanaian citizens and residents of Accra.
  • Applicants must demonstrate willingness to commit to the training schedule.
  • They must agree to mentor at least one senior apprentice as part of the program’s mentorship initiative.
  • Applicants must show readiness to formalize their business, including registering and operating as a formal entity after training.
  • Applicants should have the potential to create one new business or expand their existing business after completing the training.
