Welcome to the District Department of Transportation (DDOT)'s Business Participation Application for the first Open Streets event in the District of Columbia! The event will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Businesses interested in setting up demonstrations, or other activities on the sidewalk or in the street in front of their shops can apply through this application. The deadline for submission is SEPTEMBER 5, 2019. DDOT will review and provide notification of approvals by September 16, 2019. We welcome applications from businesses and organizations who are interested in providing an activation on Georgia Avenue. Please note that priority for participation is given to sponsors and businesses located on Georgia Avenue, as well as activations that are transportation and fitness related. Sales of any kind, food or beverage service, and setting up of tents are prohibited.
All businesses and organizations must be approved by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT). We will let you know as soon as possible whether your application was approved.
