Request for Group Rides and Bicycle Education Classes
The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia offers a variety of classes to help individuals get the skills and knowledge they need to bike safely and confidently in Philadelphia. They also offer Group Rides for community groups which help beginner cyclists feel more comfortable riding in urban environments. Group rides also provide opportunities for communities to come together in a fun and active way to discover new community resources and points of interest throughout Philadelphia.

Are you interested in hosting a group ride using Indego Bike Share and/or other Bike Safety classes? The Bicycle Coalition and Indego are proud to offer rides and classes to community members within the Indego network (the map can be found here: https://www.rideindego.com/stations/).

Please complete the information below and a staff member from the Bicycle Coalition will review it and respond with follow up questions or next steps.

Things to keep in mind:

-Group Rides: must start and end at an Indego station. Ideal turnout ranges from 5-10 people. Rides are led at a leisurely pace and while we block off two hours for the event, the ride itself is approximately 40-60 minutes.

-Urban Riding Basics Classes: can be held in any indoor setting with enough seats for participants. Having a projector on-site is a plus, but is not required.

-Learn to Ride Classes: must be located within walking distance of an Indego station. The class requires an open space at least the size of a basketball court.

-Skill Building Course: must be located within walking distance of an Indego station. The class requires an open space at least the size of a basketball court.

Feel free to send any follow-up questions to betterbikeshare@bicyclecoalition.org

Note: Due to high demand, rides or classes should be requested at least 3-4 weeks in advance.

Thank you!
