I understand that CLA is a small, close-knit camp designed for girls who will thrive in an intimate, nature-focused environment. Because of its size, every camper's personality and approach hold a lot of impact.
CLA is an outdoor-based travel camp. Campers spend most of the day outside—hiking, exploring, traveling, camping and engaging in rugged activities. They should be prepared for tent sleeping, floor sleeping, bugs, dirt, and the beautiful (and sometimes challenging) realities of Hashem's incredible nature.
Camp is run family-style, and all campers take part in cooking, prep, cleaning, and maintaining our living spaces. The program is high-energy and Ruchniyus focused - working on building our relationship with Hashem and our Rebbe. Farbrengens, learning, and teaching opportunities are a large part of our day. We are looking for girls eager to participate fully in every aspect of camp, both Ruchniyus and Gashmius.
We (parent and child) have discussed this thoroughly and believe our daughter will truly thrive at Camp Lechatchila Ariber.
