USF Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Leadership Application
Thank you for taking interest in becoming part of USF Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Leadership Team.

We currently have the positions of USF CERT Deputy Director, Communications & Media Director, Training Director, Executive Assistant, Training Officer, Media Officers, and Grants & Financial Officer are open for 2020 elections.

The roles and responsibilities of each position should be reviewed and we request that you apply for a position that you are able to serve. Keep in mind these positions shouldn't demand more than a couple of hours per week of your time unless there is an event or training taking place that might be a longer duration. Lastly, we are looking for individuals that are self-directed and take initiative as part of a team to ensure the success of the team as a whole and to make sure we are able to serve our community in blue skies and grey.

Selection Process:
Interviews will take place in November/December to feel comfortable in their role moving into 2020 if selected and to ensure the selection process is properly followed base on the CERT Organization and Leadership Plan. In the case that there are multiple applicants for the same position, the final offer to the selected applicant may be delayed until all interviews are complete and a selection is made by the supervisor and/or a review from Hillsborough County Emergency Management Advisors from Hillsborough County Office of Emergency Management, TECO, and other agencies in the area that the leadership team will be working closely with throughout the year. In the case that there is no strong competition for the position, it may be offered during the interview. You will need to be able to access and engage with all email, social media, and technology required to effectively communicate and engage with the leadership team.

Onboarding Process:
After the application, interview, and selection, you will be asked to complete:
1.) Review of our USF CERT Organizational & Leadership Plan
2.) Completion of any required Training
3.) Added to group messaging through GroupMe
4.) Added to appropriate media and program website and leadership contact lists
5.) Attend an early Spring 1/2 Day Leadership Retreat to get to know the Leadership Team for 2020
