The goal of the Green Business Certification application is to gather pertinent information about your business to get a snapshot of where you are right now in terms of sustainability. Our intent is for your business to go through the certification process. When the application is received, each business will sign an agreement and pay a certification fee of $350 that covers administration (scholarships are available for eligible businesses). Once your business is accepted into the program, we will further detail the point structure and upgrades for other available rebates.

If your business chooses to have a Building Performance Institute (BPI) energy audit completed for your facility, which is currently offered free of charge with a commitment to submitting a REAP grant, then please let us know of you interest in participating in that program. Regardless, you will need to fill out the the Energy Smart Colorado (ESC) Business Enrollment Form, and you will need to provide 12 months of utility bills. City of Durango and LPEA rebates are also available to offset the cost an energy audit if you choose not to pursue a REAP grant or you are otherwise ineligible.
