District 8 Speakers Bureau - Speaker Application Form
Are you interested in joining the District 8 Speakers Bureau? A speaker must have demonstrated the capability to engage an audience through speeches and topics with a credible presence.As a D8 Toastmaster the minimum qualifying requirement is accomplishment of the CC award or Level 2 accomplishment of any Pathway project. A speaker must be reviewed and recommended by the Speakers Bureau Chair, a minimum of 2 DEC members and approved by the District Director to represent District 8.

Topics should be of universal interest, i.e. leadership and communication, and not on controversial issues like politics or religion. District 8 will not charge a fee for providing a speaker at this point. All candidates for the Speakers Bureau must complete this application to be considered. In addition a candidate may submit an electronic copy of a presentation for review. The presentation may be a Toastmasters’ speech, training session, contest, or any other speaking engagement.

Once the application is received, you will be notified to arrange a time to be seen in person or you will be given information on where to send a video of your latest presentation. If your presentation has already been seen within Toastmasters, you may request a recommendation by at least two current DEC members. If approved, all speakers are requested to provide a head and shoulder’s photo, a short bio along with a list of speech titles and category descriptions to be posted on our website.
