Planetarium Show & Fire Station - Chemeketa Community College - Friday, February 22, 2019
This field trip is to see a planetarium show / presentation starting at 11 am and ending at noon, followed by a lunch in the cafeteria and visit to the Fire Station on campus. Those taking the bus will leave DCS at 10:00 am and return to DCS by bus by 2:30 pm (DCS instructors understand that students will miss the other classes they are enrolled in that day, but we will return in time for 2:30 classes).

Parents can drive there and meet there at 10:45 (for the Planetarium show) or at 12:45 (for the Fire Station visit) OR sign up to ride the school bus, loading at 9:45 am and departing DCS at 10:00 am. The bus will load again at Chemeketa at 1:45 PM and return to DCS by 2:30 pm, in time for students to attend 2:30 onsite classes or classes in downtown Dallas.

Parents driving could choose to leave the campus after the planetarium visit around 11:45 or 12:00 and could be back at DCS in time for classes starting at 12:30.
Families planning to stay for both the planetarium visit and the Fire Station visit should plan on bringing packed lunches to eat between 12:00-12:45.

According to DCS policy, a parent or other adult chaperone must accompany their children. However, since we are riding the bus, if you are unable to attend and wish to sign a permission slip for your child to be supervised by DCS staff during the field trip, please let us know (below) and we will send you a permission slip to sign.

Please note: Due to the 60 seat limit in the planetarium, registered DCS students will have priority, so if we are short on space, younger siblings may need to wait outside the planetarium with a parent or guardian (it is in a nice building with waiting areas and vending machines).

Deadline to sign-up is Wednesday, February 13. 60 seat limit for the Planetarium visit.
