Our Mission at Western Pride
Western Pride FC is the National Premier League club of Football Ipswich and Brisbane's Western Corridor from Kenmore to Boonah, Greenbank to North Ipswich.

Please consider the following statements when you make a decision about your child's footballing future and trials.
+ Western Pride Football Club is a representative club only dedicated to providing elite player development with an individual focus.
+ Western Pride FC remains true to its original mission to provide a pathway for young players to state and national representative teams and A-League Youth squads.
+ Western Pride is the only PlayStation® 4 National Premier League club which puts youth player development ahead of the first team's trophy cabinet – we believe any future first team success should be based on players developed by our youth system.
+ Our mid-term vision is to earn a position in the highest professional league in Australia with sport and political decision makers already identifying Ipswich and Brisbane's Western Corridor as a genuine football hub and expansion area.
+ We enjoy great support of the Ipswich City Council along with local businesses to enable us to keep our fees reasonable while providing four contacts per week to our athletes over 40 weeks.
+ We are very keen to work with our community clubs and let them host their own SYL or divisional level teams. Our elite NPL players enjoy plenty of field space and a quality training and playing surface due to the low traffic and limited number of teams using our excellent facilities at Briggs Road, Flinders View throughout the year.
+ Western Pride FC Technical Director Gabor Ganczer has recently who completed all his course work at the AFC Pro Diploma, the highest coaching qualification available, and he holds a UEFA A Licence whit work experience on international level.

Selection process
The first few trials are always centred around small sided games as we are looking for players who stand out at least in two out of the four core skills (1st touch, passing/striking, running with the ball, 1v1). We also examine whether a player is coachable and committed to their long term goals.
Our selection is based on the combined views of our selection panel made up of the team coach, Technical Director, appropriate specialist coaches (eg goalkeeping coach) and, for older age groups, our Senior Head Coaches.
The key areas which influence our selection are the player's technical ability/skills, decision making and development potential. We believe pure physical attributes are not a reliable indicator in which to judge players at a time their bodies are still developing.
Our preferred communication method is via email due to the large number of players looking to trial.
Successful players will be provided with detailed individual feedback.
We can only select 16 players and a maximum of 7 shadow players in each NPL junior age group (U12-U16).
We select only 12 players for each Skills Acquisition Phase teams (U10/U11), however there is a possibility this may rise to 24 should we have the opportunity to run a second team in a given age group.
Players who are not selected are usually good players but someone may be better at this certain stage of their development.
We advise players who don't earn selection to join our community clubs where they can work on their functional game skills and tactical insights in an environment where we can monitor their development.
If you don't find answers above to your questions, please contact Gabor Ganczer, Western Pride Techncial Director on td@westernpridefc.com.au
