Advisory Board Member - Application
Thank you for your interest in joining the Support Network's Board of Directors.
**This role is part-time, remote and unpaid**
The Support Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, helps address and promote student mental health and well-being through the implementation, development and collaboration of peer support initiatives in high schools and colleges. This non-profit is an umbrella organization to 6 student-led organizations on college campuses and 1 student-led organization at a high school. In total, this represents ~1,000 signed up student participants, ~150 trained Weekly Group facilitators and 25+ student Directors.
The Support Network's expansion efforts have been intentionally limited to ensure strong campus partnerships. We have had interest from over 75+ colleges and high schools. Further, this organization has been recognized by CNN, WSJ, Mental Health America, U.S. News, The Huffington Post, The JED Foundation and others.
What we’re looking for:
- 1-5+ years of professional experience in at least one Coverage Area*
(e.g. Design, Development, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Research)
- Strong advocate for mental health, well-being, and community
- Non-profit or business management expertise
- Ability to take initiative and lead work independently
