ABOUT US

New Connective Mentoring is part of the creative youth development component of New Ballet Ensemble and School (NBE). Combining mentoring and academic support. New Connective Mentoring strives to provide every student at New Ballet Ensemble and School with the tools and resources to achieve their goals and develop their students holistically alongside their rigorous dance training.

TYPES OF MENTORING

Students grades 3-12 have the opportunity to be matched with a Level 3 Mentor through MSCS as a one-to-one (one mentor to one protégé), one-to-two (one mentor to two protégé), peer-to-peer (older protégé a younger protégé) or group mentoring to effectively target that student’s personal goals for the year.

After-School Academic Support

Location: Main Site

Offers homework help, tutoring, ACT & SAT Prep and Career Prep assistance for our all of our students. Fostering a supportive environment for academic success.

Each mentoring match works with the Youth Program Coordinator to develop a plan for the year which outlines their weekly meetings for 30 - 45 mins held at one of our pathway locations (Dunbar, LaRose, BTW and Crosstown) or our main site (New Ballet: 2157 York Ave., Memphis, TN 38104).
