SMOB Advisory Cabinet Application
Thank you for your interest in joining the 2022-2023 SMOB Advisory Cabinet. After completing this application, you will be notified of and invited to future SMOB Advisory Meetings and SMOB Advisory Cabinet events via email.

The SMOB Advisory Cabinet (SAC) is an organization of students who aid the Student Member of the Board (SMOB) in representing MCPS students to the Board of Education. Members of the SAC will voice the concerns and ideas of students, create policy goals, communicate with the MCPS community, and mobilize students.

SMOB Advisory Meetings will be held once a month, with both in-person and virtual options. All members of the SAC are expected to attend; however, meeting are open to all students, regardless if they are in the SAC or not. All students are invited to attend to share their voices and earn SSL hours. Please see tentative meeting dates and locations below.

School Representative Position Description

As a School Representative to the SMOB Advisory Cabinet, it will be your responsibility to look into and voice the ideas and concerns of the students of their school School Representatives shall research the opinions of students at their school and communicate that information to their Cluster Liaison, the director of School Representation, and the SMOB.
