Registration to 2018 COAA Annual Workshop
To foster the communication among Chinese Americans working in atmospheric and oceanic areas, COAA is pleased to announce the 2018 Spring workshop will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at ESSIC building, University of Maryland College Park, MD,20740.
Lunch will be provided to the current COAA members. If you have not joined COAA or have not renewed your membership for 2018, you can do it either now (
) or on-site during the workshop.

11:15 am -12:00 am: Dr. Yan Xue, NOAA-Climate Prediction Center, "Operational Ocean Reanalyses at NCEP: Global
Ocean Monitoring, Uncertainty Quantification and Upgrade Plan"

Panel discussion on proposal processes:
Panel members: Drs Hongbin Yu (NASA GSFC), Qing Liang (NASA GSFC), Zhibo Zhang (UMBC), and Chungu Lu (NSF)
13:00-14:00: Panel member presentations include information on
(1) key elements of wrting a successful proposal,
(2) insights on panel review processes, and
(3) proposal selection criteria.
14:00-15:00: Discussions and questions/answers
