Led by Dr. Jordan Mroziak, Carnegie Mellon University's CREATE Lab
Combining huge data sets with images captured by NASA satellites between 1984 and 2016, EarthTime brings to life patterns of both natural change and our collective human impact. As a completely free tool, Earthtime gives both teachers and learners the ability to analyze, interpret, and reconfigure data visualizations to tell compelling stories about the world in which they live. From refugee flow to glacial retreat, coral bleaching to renewal energy narratives, Earthtime is an immersive tool to empower learners of all ages with real-world, contextualized data at their fingertips. As a recent addition, we have added storytelling tools – enabling users to create their own unique stories to share with their classes, schools, and communities.
